Dirumah saya memiliki sebuah HDD external berkapasitas 2 TB, isinya film-film HD 1080P. Sempat terpikir bagaimana caranya menikmati film2 tersebut di galaxy tab saya, agak sulit memang karena format HDD ini adalah NTFS dan android secara default tidak mengenali format ini.
Dengan sedikit usaha akhirnya bisa terbaca juga, dan ini harus dibayar dengan melalukan root pada tab saya. Konfigurasinya terlihat pada gambar dibawah ini:
Syaratnya:
1. Gtab harus di Root, lihat postingan saya disini jika belum diroot
2. HDD menggunakan power tambahan dari Adaptor
3. Instal Aplikasi Paragon NTFS&HFS+ (ada di playstore)
Begitu HDD tehubung dengan Gtab, Gtab memang mendeteksi adanya USB storage namun hanya terdeteksi sebagai Emty USB Storage.
Jalankan Paragon NTFS&HFS+, aplikasi ini akan mendeteksi partisi NTFS yg ada pada HDD, tinggal lakukan proses mount dan pilih mount point secara otomatis, dan Gtab akan langsung mengenali partisi ini.
Sekarang saya bisa langsung menikmati film-film full HD dari HDD saya di Gtab, gambarnya cukup memukau layar Gtab.

Mas maistropo, maaf sebelumnya saya mau bertanya, jikalau yang digunakan hdd 1 TB ke bawah yang tanpa adaptor atauu seperti flashdisk, itu bisa nggak dihubungkan ke tab? Setelah saya coba prosedur di atas, akan tetapi tanpa syarat yang ke dua, paragon nggak bisa mendeeteksi hdd tersebut. Mohon sarannya, terimakasih.
Ga bisa langsung detek, biasanya ada notif kl high power device connected, bisa diakali pake usb cable yg punya 2 cabang usb, jadi 1 usb utk ke otg 1 lg dicolok ke adapter charger hp utk power tambahan.

dah di coba gan tapi berhenti di pilih mount point secara otomatis

Untuk galaxy tab 2.7 apakah bisa digunakan ya….
Bisa kok mba, tab 2 yg 7″ ga jauh beda ma yg 10″
Saya sudah lakukan sesuai petunjuk diatas, knp ada peringatan kalau penyimpanan USB kosong atau memiliki sistem file yg tidak didukung. Trus tidak bisa dibaca oleh Explorer, padahal sudah di mount oleh paragon. Thx
Apakah sudah dipastikan USB Disknya ber format NTFS?
